I'm Edda, an Icelandic digital designer with a BA in Anthropology, a Master's in Tourism, and a degree in Multimedia Design from Zealand - Academy of Technologies and Business. I came to design because I'm curious about people, and I stayed for the craft of making complex things usable. I work across UX research, visual design, front-end development, and project management.
I start with people, not pixels. Before I design anything, I do the research: interviews, usability tests, and analysis. My anthropology training helps me look for the "why" behind behaviour, not just the clicks. Depending on the project, I use Double Diamond, Design Thinking, or Lean Startup (from research and information architecture to wireframes and tested prototypes), and I keep teams aligned with clear structure and honest communication.
I research, design, and code. I bring an anthropological lens to user research, then design responsive interfaces in Figma and build front-ends in HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript. I use AI tools when they help me move faster, but I still sweat the details. I also create illustrations and motion graphics, and I've coordinated teams of up to nine people using agile methods.
I'm open to full-time roles, student positions, and collaborations in UX and design.

Outside of work, I recharge by drawing and illustrating. Music is a big part of my life, so I often make fan art and small concert freebies like stickers and bracelets. It’s a fun way to meet people in the same community, and I also love making portraits of friends and bracelets as little mementos from the shows we go to together.
